At Cream Studio, we’ve never entered any of our work for awards until now. But we’ve had some encouraging feedback with some of our latest projects, so we decided to bite the bullet and try our luck at The Richmond Show held right in our own backyard.
With this year’s “Wes Anderson” theme there were so many fun costumes to look at. Boyscouts, Girlscouts, Steve Zissous and, of course, Margot Tenenbaums were some of the popular characters there. After a mob of attendees flooded the open bar, we had a seat and listened to the names of our peers and friends being called as they won bronze, silver and gold. How lucky are we to know so many creative people? We were dazzled by all of the talent, and before we knew it, Cream Studio was named Best In Show for Production for our 3D Animation entry from The Richmond Forum. It was an unexpected and very exciting moment for us all.
Special thanks to everyone in the audience who made us feel like rockstars. It was a an exciting night of celebration that ended in some killer hangovers, but definitely worth its weight in Excedrin.
Fun Fact: Cream Studio won BEST IN SHOW at THE RICHMOND SHOW for THE RICHMOND FORUM. Say that three times fast.
